Conference at ASU will focus on grief
JONESBORO — Grief, whether due to the death of a loved one or other tragic circumstances, is something everyone must face at some time. Some people have even made a career out of helping others deal with this difficult emotion.
An upcoming conference, Grief Dynamics: The Power of Hope and Human Connection, helps people from all backgrounds and professions learn more about grief and healing while providing school credit for those who need it.
“We’re getting continuing education credit for a lot of people — counselors, educators, social workers, nurses — but almost anyone would benefit from it, because all of us deal with grief at some time in our life,” said June Morse, director of NEA Clinic Charitable Foundation’s HopeCircle.
The third annual event, slated for April 24, is organized by HopeCircle and the Arkansas State University College of Nursing and Health Professions.
