From ancient, ecstatic Dionysian revels to modern rites of Christian Communion, fermentation and faith have enjoyed a long association. This pairing — wine with religion — will be explored during a presentation and tasting being held April 25 at Lakeside Community Church. Carolyn Prusa of Southern Wine & Spirits, a longtime Northern Nevada wine expert and educator, and Robert Boyd, her husband and partner in vine, will lead the discussion.
